Ron Paul believes very deeply in limited government and personal liberty. He also deeply believes in following the Constitution. He is anti-war, and espouses a return to a noninterventionist foreign policy. Americans aren't "permitted" to hear this very traditional American message anymore from the corporate dominated media, and when they do, they seem to be immediately attracted to it and recognize it as the correct way to go. Interestingly, this seems to terrify the GOP establishment, and all of the other candidates [who all support the war and foreign intervention to various degrees], debate moderators, networks, and debate organizers are ganging up on him and plan to exclude him from future debates lest people learn a little too much. Sean Hannity was very rude to Dr. Paul after the debate compared to the other candidates, wouldn't let him complete a sentence, and told the viewers to "ignore his pole results" because they are irrelvant. Rudy really attacked Ron. Dr. Paul for stating that US foreign policy actions and presence in the Middle East were a "contributing factor" to the 911 attack [which is obviously true], and that he thinks Ronald Reagan was correct that Middle East politics are too complex for the US to become involved [good advice]. Rudy immediately misstated this as suggesting that Dr. Paul said that the US is to blame for the attack, and the moderators went along with this misstatement without questioning him. Of course, if Rudy really believes that actions don't have consequences and doesn't understand that military intervention anywhere invites retaliation, then he is either too stupid to be President, or a liar. Rudy embarassed himself a bit by starting to state that "they attacked us because we love freedom," but one of the moderators cut his microphone before he could complete the statement. It will be very interesting to see how this confrontation between Ron Paul and the military-industrial complex candidates plays itself out.
He is the best one running...he used to be a libertarian...he IS a libertarian...libertarians are what republicans pretend to be. I agree with most things he says...he is for going back to the gold standard and the abolishment of the federal reserve....I am happy to say he is even a very cool guy, I wrote him and he wrote me back...and it wasnt a form letter (but it was before he ran for pres) if you want to hear why I would vote for him: = he is the only good candidate running on either side IMO. He wont win...he wont be the rep choice...but he would be the best thing for our country...good man.
Ok if the US mideast policys are the reason the muslims are attacking us.. Then what are the muslims reasons for all the death they are dispensing in Solmia, Nigeria, East Timor, Spain, India, Phillipine Islands,Lebanon, Cypus,Bali, Albania,Bosina,Russia,Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, Armenia, etc...................
According to these leftists who think Ron Paul won the debates, the US has to be involved in causing those as well. They just can't put 1 + 1 together Andy. Don't try to argue with these idiots it will just exhaust you. To them the US has just been asking to be attacked. How can Ron Paul say with a straight face we caused the 911 attacks because of our presence in Iraq!! Hello, our presence in Iraq was after we got attacked. It is easy for an idiot to have a short attention span. Ron Paul sank his own boat with his ridiculous statements. He might as well drop out of sight and out of mind again.
How can anyone who actually listened to the debate and heard the ridiculous statement Ron Paul made, not understand what he meant? The audience even acknowledged that Rudy did the right thing in asking R. Paul to take back what he said and R. Paul didn't? If R. Paul had been misquoted by Rudy G. then R. Paul would have told him that is not what he said. R. Paul let it go and made himself a pariah of the Republican party. Cloudsweeper, have you Moen, and Danr been drinking the cool-aid again.
How is it so obvious to you that US foreign policy actions and presence in the Middle East were a "contributing factor" to the 911 attack? It couldn't possibly be that they are taught to hate Infidels in their Koran could it? The ONLY reason we got attacked is because of our foreign policy? I have to say my enemy, you are an idiot if you REALLY think we are causing these Fanatics to attack us. You are an enemy of this country, you truly are. For someone to believe the ONLY reason we are being attacked they would have to also believe we deserved 911. The Muslim Fanatics are saying the exact same thing these fanatic leftists are.
I am not speaking for all the far righties, I am speaking for myself. Good try Adam. I am only calling 2-3 crazy far lefties idiots that post on a regular basis in these threads. When one of them says we got attacked for our Foreign Policies it really upsets me. Especially from an American. I guess it is a pet peeve of mine. Go figure. Does that help you understand my position any better Adam? If not, not my fault.
Adam, you have to agree with John or you're an idiot. That's just the way it works here. He seems to have the only opinion worth a damn in his mind anyway. Far Right is just the general directions to get to where he is at. :rolling: So don't be an idiot and agree with everything he angrily spews out.
