Do people like you ever actually provide arguments or just pithy comments and tired stereotypes? I have been talking on political forums for years and the discussions always fall to this. Any real points you would like to make that is based on actual observable phenomena?
A couple of family members who died too young, those of us left behind, settling affairs both material and emotional. What my partner and I want to do with our lives going forward. Decisions we hadn't planned on being confronted with for a good long time yet. A little guilt. A lot of loss. The future. The usual, really.
For me, I'd say the toilet. No, really... it's chaotic as it gets! I've repaired it as best I can over the years, but don't want to spend too much... so it's a constant wonder if it'll work right this time. I guess some chaos just sucks, but eh...
Thanks for sharing, Takiji. There are some tough hurdles in life. I just recently got over one myself. I wish the best for you and your partner and hope you experience the greatest successes in life. There's a verse in the song "Fight Test" by The Flaming Lips that, cliche' as it sounds, is a pretty good commentary. When are we really ever prepared for the loss of family in our lives? Best to you, man! Cause I'm a man not a boy and there are things You can't avoid you have to face them when you're not prepared To face them
Thanks CoinOKC, it's been quite a year. There are some things that no amount of preparation can really prepare you for especially if you didn't realize you were supposed to be preparing for them in the first place. But like the Flaming Lips say.... Appreciate the kind words. And glad you were able to deal, I assume successfully, with what you've had to face in your life.
Don't you know that ideology replaces reason? How else can you explain some of the things these people say?
You know common sense isn't anything of the sort. What is considered to be common sense changes with the time and with the situation. It used to be that common sense said that demons caused disease, but that is absolutely not common sense now.
And if you ever post anything other than Fox News talking points, you will certainly send me into shock.
Back to FOX news again, are we? Whatsa matter, did Michael Moore & Roseanne Barr tell you to replace "Bush's fault" with Fox News somewhere along the line?
If posting links to stories that are completely irrelevant to the conversation followed by self-congratulatory high fives with yourselves were an art, you and rlm would be Picasso and Monet. You both seem to really revel in the abstract.
Awwww...c'mon moen....can't you see the irony in BO expressing support of the people protesting against Wall Street while his biggest supporter is a Wall Streeter embroiled in scandal? Sure you can.
And just like in real life, what little bit of public transportation I have available to me doesn't take me anywhere I want to go. *misses New Orleans*
